Putnam Center, run by Genesis HealthCare, offers a range of senior care programs with many distinctive names like ACCELerate Rehabilitation, Powerback Rehabilitation, Memory Support, and Cardiac Management Program, and it's got a lot to offer people based on what they need, whether that's skilled nursing, short-term rehab after a hospital stay, long-term care for those who need help every day, respite care to give family caregivers a break, or even specialized care like ventilator care, orthopedic rehab after a joint replacement or injury, Alzheimer's care, assisted living, and independent living too, so you'll see real variety in how they meet individual needs, and they do a lot for comfort with private or shared rooms, in-room and restaurant-style dining, meals cooked on site, housekeeping, laundry, cable TV and Wi-Fi, and there's phone service as well as a 24-hour call and emergency alert system. The staff include nurses, nurse practitioners, attending doctors, and rehab therapists offering all kinds of medical support-wound care, palliative and hospice care, psychiatric help, medication management, vision, dental, podiatry, and even bariatric services, alongside therapies like physical, occupational, speech, aquatic therapy, and Heparin or IV therapy, plus pain management, case management, and discharge planning, and they've got advanced medical equipment, on-site dialysis, and full amenities to support health and safety. The center is set up with gardens, courtyards, common spaces for relaxing or socializing, activity rooms, a beauty salon and barber, pet therapy, and activity plans that cover religious, social, cultural, and educational interests, plus scheduled community events and volunteer opportunities, with daily programs run by a dynamic activities department, and they make sure transportation is covered for doctor visits and other appointments. Putnam Center supports veterans as a Partner Level Four in the We Honor Veterans program and is recognized with the AHCA Bronze Quality Award for its amenities and care standards, and the Bikes without Barriers initiative and programs for children like early intervention and milestone tracking show they focus on including different needs, promoting access for everyone, and building a sense of belonging where people feel respected. They coordinate short-stay and transitional care with specialized staff, accepting Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance, and always aim to help people reach their best possible health in an environment meant to feel comfortable and like home, with staff known for empathy and teamwork, supporting both medical needs and emotional well-being.

Kind, attentive staff; some lapses
I'm grateful for Putnam Center's kind, attentive staff-nursing and rehab were excellent, admissions and social work went above and beyond, and activities kept residents engaged. My family felt informed, supported and safe, with 24/7 availability and many staff who treated us like family. That said, I saw occasional lapses (food/room size, communication delays, and intermittent cleanliness concerns) and have heard reports of more serious issues, so I recommend it with reservations.
