    About Memory Lane

Memory Lane is a small assisted living and memory care home in California that has room for up to six residents, and rooms here have half baths, wheelchair accessible showers, and sliding doors that open right out onto decks and yards so folks can get some fresh air when they want to, which is nice if people like sitting outside or taking a slow walk through the garden or along the walking paths, and there are also indoor common areas for gathering or quiet time. This place helps people who can't safely live on their own anymore, but don't yet need skilled nursing care all the time, and residents can get support with daily needs like bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal help, with added care for memory loss, and the staff stays onsite for around-the-clock supervision. Each room usually comes furnished and has a phone, and people get three meals a day in the dining room with options for all-day dining and special diets if someone needs them-things like meals for diabetes, allergies, or high blood pressure, and chefs and meal planners make sure the food fits each resident's needs. There's laundry, housekeeping, medication help, help with transfers, and incontinence care, so families don't have to worry about those chores piling up or someone going without help. Residents get help getting to doctor's appointments, shopping, and even spiritual activities, and transportation and parking are available, making it easier for everyone to get around. Staff members speak English and keep a close eye on things with an emergency alert system for safety, and the facility is licensed and overseen by California's Department of Social Services. There are all kinds of programs during the week like board games, movie nights, reading, fitness activities, music, art, exercise, pet therapy visits, and some outdoor trips, plus there's a hot tub, sauna, reading room, barber or salon, wellness area, and community events to help people stay active and feel connected. Memory Lane takes individual care seriously, offering hospice care and respite care for short-term stays, and works hard to keep folks comfortable and engaged, while focusing on promoting as much independence as possible for every resident. Since it's a board and care home with only six beds, folks here can expect more personal attention, and the staff can help with high acuity and non-ambulatory care if residents need more hands-on help. The place doesn't accept Medicare unless it's been certified, so payment is mostly private, and Memory Lane is licensed as a Residential Care Elderly facility. The goal is to help seniors and their families worry less by making sure everyone gets care tailored to their needs and lives in a safe and supportive environment.
