    Home-like community with caring staff

I live here and couldn't be happier: the staff are consistently caring and professional, the food is excellent (two meals daily in a lovely on-site restaurant), and the large, very clean community offers pools, fitness and craft rooms, many activities and outings. It's pricey with a buy-in and occasional communication lapses, but overall a home-like, well-run place that provides real value and top-quality care.

    About Laurel View Village

Laurel View Village sits on a large campus where folks can choose the kind of help and care they need as they get older, so if someone wants to live a more active or independent life, they can pick from Cambridge Apartments, Vista Apartments, or Townhomes, and they don't have to worry about things like yard work or repairs because staff takes care of it, and for people who want or need more help, there are Personal Care services to help with daily activities, medication reminders, dressing, bathing, meals, and personal care so no one has to do these things alone. The campus has a full nursing center too, called Skilled Nursing, where seniors with serious health issues get round-the-clock medical care, rehabilitation, wound care, and nursing support, so those who've just had surgery or an illness can get extra help as they recover, and if memory problems like Alzheimer's or dementia come up, there's a secure Memory Care community with 24-hour support, which means residents stay safe and have staff around who know what they're doing, and there are activities and programs specially made for people living with memory loss so they can stay as active as possible. The place feels more like a small town or a cozy village, since you'll find things like a chapel with a full-time chaplain, dining options including a café called the Soda Shop, and beauty services at PS Salon & Spa, plus folks can relax in common rooms, walk along trails, or join life enrichment activities, day trips, wellness programs, or spiritual services if they wish, and guest rooms are there for family who want to visit overnight. They even have a Home Care team that can come to a resident's apartment or townhome to help with daily things like dressing, bathing, or just providing companionship, and there are on-site extras like banking, a physician's office, laboratory, postal service, and a full-service pharmacy, so there's a lot close at hand if people need it. For anybody wanting more privacy, Laurel View Village has some residential Board and Care Homes, so a few people can get personal care in a smaller setting, and because the whole place is a Life Plan Community, it means almost every level of care is available as needs change, so someone can start off independent and get more help later without having to move far, and there's always someone in a nurses station or personal care area if help is needed. The staff run enrichment programs, but residents also lead their own activities or outings, so there's a good mix of things to do whether someone likes to keep busy or just relax, and the place is built with safety and accessibility in mind, with features to help people move around easily and stay comfortable as they age, so folks can feel at home even as their needs change over time.
