    Nice facility; check staffing, fees

I toured and stayed overnight and was impressed - beautiful, very clean, up-to-date campus with friendly, caring staff, excellent rehab/therapy, great food, lots of activities, pool and comfortable, well-appointed rooms. The community felt safe, welcoming, and convenient, though there's a long waiting list. Downsides: high upfront and monthly cost and reports of management/staff turnover and some isolated care/administration concerns that I'd want clarified. Overall I'm pleased and would consider Park Pointe, but I'd ask specific questions about staffing, care continuity and fees before deciding.

    About Park Pointe Village

Park Pointe Village offers several living choices for adults over 55 who want independence or may need more care as time goes on, so you see folks there staying active on their own or getting different kinds of help if they need it, like assisted living for daily tasks, skilled nursing for more serious medical needs, and memory care for people living with Alzheimer's or dementia. The building's only two stories high, and people can choose from studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom units, and they let you keep your pet with you, which can be a real comfort. Every private suite comes with cable TV, an emergency call system, and round-the-clock staff, many of whom have been there for years and really get to know the residents and what makes them tick.

The community doesn't run for profit, and that means the focus stays on the folks living there, not on shareholders. There's help available for bathing, dressing, housework, and getting around, and transportation services run for medical appointments or outings, since the area around Park Pointe Village has plenty of recreational and cultural things to do. Rehabilitation programs cover everything from short-term to outpatient therapy - physical, occupational, and speech therapy - and they've got support for issues like arthritis, joint replacements, or other neurological conditions.

Individuals nearing the end of life can get hospice care, and respite care is there to give families a break. Memory care neighborhoods are set up for those who need special support, and education programs offer a chance to learn new things and stay mentally sharp. Meals are balanced, there's fitness equipment and classes, and programs promote eye health and holistic well-being, so nobody has to feel like they're just sitting around. As part of Acts Retirement, Park Pointe Village stays focused on helping people live as independently as possible while also preparing for whatever care might be needed down the road, which gives peace of mind as folks age.
