    Excellent senior community with amenities

I toured this beautiful, new senior living community with mountain views and well-kept grounds. The top-of-the-line, very large facility has a lovely dining area with multiple restaurant options, a salt-water pool, gym, physical therapy, and lots of activity spaces (woodshop, art/ sewing rooms, thrift shop, bikes). Staff were pleasant and helpful, residents seemed happy, and services (housekeeping, maintenance, shuttles, future care included) were solid. Apartments have full kitchens but can be small and pricey; cottages are nicer but expensive. Overall I left with a very positive impression and confidence in the care.

    About The Glebe

The Glebe sits up in the hills and, for a long time, folks have known it as a verified provider with a strong 5.0 rating, so people seem happy there, and what they offer covers almost anything you'd expect at a senior living place-active adult living, assisted living, memory care in their Chaplick Center, skilled nursing, and even hospice care for those who need it. They keep their services Medicare and Medicaid certified, so if a resident needs to stay for the long haul or needs short-term rehab between the hospital and home, the nursing staff can handle that. People can pick between apartments or cottages for independent living, and they let you have pets, which is nice if you're used to having a companion around.

The dining's full-service and they do housework and keep up with maintenance and the gardens, so folks don't have to worry about the chores. There's a 24-hour call system in place, and they help with needs like bathing, dressing, medication, and moving around, so someone's always available. Their memory care is secure and supervised, with programs supporting people with dementia, and the Chaplick Center stands out by really focusing on keeping residents engaged. Their Lifecare plan covers people for life, so once you move into an apartment or cottage, you can stay as long as you need, and their continuum of care means you don't have to move again when needs change.

People seem to benefit from activities for the mind, body, and spirit, whether you want to join in movies, art, or just walk the paths. They have an activities calendar, a garden, barber and salon services, a dining room, and even an arts room. Housekeeping and laundry are managed. Folks with special dietary needs-like diabetes or allergies-get meals that match their doctor's advice. Every room can be furnished or not, depending on what someone prefers, and they all have phones. As a non-profit, The Glebe tries to support community life, letting residents do their own activities if they want, and families can tour the facility with staff to get a feel for things.

If someone needs help selling a current home, there's a Zillow Showcase listing available that might help boost their sale price, and they can get pre-qualified with Zillow Home Loans. All in all, the place serves a wide range of needs, from everyday independence to serious health care, and the care plans flex as individual needs change. Families can check out maps, photos, prices, and ratings online, and message the staff for any more information. The Glebe supports seniors wanting a worry-free, active life with plenty of support as they get older, and folks seem glad for the choices they can make along the way.
