    About Adams Senior Village

Adams Senior Village sits over on Kaley Avenue in Westland, MI, where the Detroit area stretches wide, and what you see now is much improved from when it first opened back in 1999, because they've put in all new signs throughout, a fresh asphalt parking lot outside, and you notice straight away how they've put new siding, gutters, shingles, and downspouts on every building, which makes the place feel well cared for. There are 120 units here, spread across one-, two-, and three-bedroom ranch-style homes, each with its own entryway and a simple patio out back or porch out front so you can step outside. Every apartment got new windows, entry doors, and glass door walls to let in light, and indoors they've put down new carpeting, new LVT floors, painted all the walls, and added new kitchen cabinets and countertops, plus renovated the bathrooms with new fixtures and bath inserts, while the new hot water tank, furnace, and energy-efficient lighting and appliances help keep power bills steady and the place comfortable. The renovated clubhouse is the hub, with offices, meeting spots, a library, exercise room, clean restrooms, a sitting area, and a big room that works for a range of activities, complete with a small kitchenette for snacks or coffee. They've touched up the outdoor spaces too, so front porches and back patios look and feel good for sitting or meeting neighbors. The community's known to be friendly, with staff said to be quite helpful, led by a service coordinator named Patricia who's often mentioned by residents. People can join in all kinds of programs because the staff really tries to keep residents social, physically active, and mentally busy, whether that's through events, games, or quiet time in the library, and the place has picked up some awards like Best of Senior Living for care and services over the years. The meal program puts one or two chef-prepared meals on the table every day, cooked by a team focused on nutrition and using decent ingredients, and if you need help with daily chores, amenities like housekeeping and laundry are included in the rent or available for a fee. The community supports a range of living options, so if you're over 62 and mostly independent, you can get a senior apartment here, but if you need more help, there are assisted living and memory care services for folks with Alzheimer's or other needs in a safe, structured setting, and care homes for people needing a live-in caregiver for things like dressing and bathing. Seniors who want to stay in their own place can have trained aides come by for companionship and help around the house, and respite care is available too, along with continuing care and nursing services if health needs change. The office stays open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and they're always ready to show people around if you want a tour. Adams Senior Village, run by Continental Management, keeps clear reports on what's offered, the state of the property, and what it costs, and it stays focused on giving people a good quality of life without making things fancy or flashy-just a mix of solid, useful features, caring staff, and an aim to keep all kinds of seniors comfortable and engaged, whether living entirely independently or needing ongoing care.
