    Clean, caring staff; management unstable

I moved my mom into this beautiful, brand-new memory-care community and overall I'm pleased: it's clean, resort-like, focused on memory care with 24/7 nursing, and the chef-prepared meals are delicious - she looks forward to every meal. Staff are generally kind, responsive, and give personalized attention; tours and family communication were excellent and activities are encouraging if modest. My biggest caveats are the high price and inconsistent management - frequent executive turnover, some untrained staff, and a few safety/cleanliness lapses (we encountered a disarrayed room/soiled mattress) plus reports of confrontational leadership. For us the clinical care and food made it worth it, but I'd recommend confirming staffing stability and management responsiveness before committing.

About The Gardens At Laguna Springs

The Gardens At Laguna Springs sits near a medical center, shops, parks, and places to eat, and the building itself is a warm, hacienda-style setting that aims to feel cozy and familiar, especially for people living with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other types of memory loss, and you'll notice right away that security is built in throughout the whole community, with things like a gated property, motion sensors, pull cords, window alarms, and round-the-clock staff, so families can know their loved ones are always watched over, and there's a focus on treating everyone like family, with respect and patience every day. The community's memory care really is the central feature here-it's purpose-built for this one goal, with special staff trained in personalized care models, such as Humanitude®, which focuses on dignity and helping people experience more moments of joy and connection, and all staff go through background checks with an emphasis on ethics and safe driving. Residents get to pick from different room layouts, which includes private and shared one-bedroom suites or two-bedroom neighborhood suites, and each one comes with its own amenities, like cable TV, Wi-Fi, and even garden views in many spots, making it easy to feel at home or just relax, and there's a club room, entertainment spaces, guest parking, and pet-friendly policies as further ways to make life comfortable for those who live there. All the meals are planned by chefs who focus on nutrition and taste, and dining can be done together in the dining room, by guest meals, or even room service for those who'd rather eat in private, and those who need extra help can count on assistance with daily activities like bathing and dressing and the community brings in therapy like physical or occupational as needed. Residents can join in arts and crafts, music, gardening, literary or tabletop games, fitness, or social events, with the idea that everyone can keep active minds and bodies, and there's always something happening for those who want to join, plus Wi-Fi keeps people connected with family or interests outside. High-speed internet, cable TV, and safety alert systems come built in, and there's always a nurse on-site day and night, and the pharmacy, hospice, in-home health, and medical care cover extra needs, while laundry, linen, and cleaning keeps everything tidy without anyone having to worry, and languages spoken here include both English and Spanish, making the place more welcoming for many. Entry costs start at $3,000, all-inclusive rent covers most expenses, and families can use checks, credit cards, or insurance to pay, plus virtual tours and floor plans are easy to access for anyone who wants a close look before making a decision. The Gardens is run by Koelsch Senior Communities, which brings more than sixty years' experience as a family-owned provider and puts a lot of care into making sure residents have what they need, whether they're there for independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing, or the extra support of a continuing care retirement community. Overall, this place is really focused on helping people with memory loss live with a sense of purpose and comfort, with special rooms and programs built just for them, a supportive staff always there to help, and security everywhere you'd want it for peace of mind.
