    Caring staff, costly clinical lapses

    I placed my mom here because the staff are friendly, attentive and well-trained, residents are relaxed, and the place feels clean and homey with beautiful, well-maintained grounds. The buildings are dated, admissions are selective, they don't accept MediCal and the price is out of reach for many - TB tests and extra paperwork are required. We experienced medication errors (her first-week meds were missed) and her health declined; I had difficulties with the Wellness Director until I advocated for her. Staff genuinely care and are always available, but the cost and those clinical lapses make it not ideal for my mom.
