Evangelical Home-Saline sits in Saline, Michigan, and provides many senior living services and care options for older adults, so what you'll find there is a large campus where people can live in their own way while also getting support when they need it, because the place has independent living, assisted living, memory care for those with dementia or Alzheimer's, and a skilled nursing facility for long-term and short-term rehabilitation. You'll find private, furnished rooms with bathrooms, spaces like gardens, a courtyard, patios, and walking paths, plus a common lounge with fireplaces and comfortable chairs where folks like to sit and visit, and people have access to daily fitness programs, therapy pool with a lift chair, mental wellness support, and other regular activities, many planned by staff but some led by residents, and there are also group outings and community-sponsored programs so no one feels left out and there's always something to do. Nursing care and staff are available 24 hours, with call systems in place, and people get help with things like bathing, dressing, taking the right medicine, and moving around, whether they need a lot or just a little help, and the staff have a reputation for being friendly and helpful, which makes living here feel welcoming. Meals are served daily in a dining room set up like a restaurant, with both chef-prepared meals and snacks, plus accommodations for people needing special diets like diabetes planning, and there's help with nutrition and making sure each meal fits the person's needs. The Redies Center for Rehabilitation & Healthy Living is there for people needing therapies like physical, speech, and occupational help, and both day and residential programs are available, with home care and adult day programs for people who'd rather live at home or who need just a bit of extra support during the day, and home maintenance and modification services come in handy, too. Wi-Fi, cable TV, a small library, computer center, fitness room, beauty and barber salon, and gaming room are available, so seniors have everything from entertainment to practical help, and there's move-in coordination to make the transition easier. Transportation services include rides to doctors, pharmacies, theaters, and other places nearby, so you don't have to worry about getting to appointments or social activities, with both medical and non-medical rides arranged by staff. Evangelical Home-Saline, owned by EHM Senior Solutions, is a faith-based, nonprofit group with a mission to provide good healthcare, housing, and wellness, and it's recognized for excellence, including awards like Best of Senior Living, with support from the Evangelical Homes of Michigan Foundation. The facility runs all week, day and night, accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance, and employs trained aides, nurses, and caregivers for all levels of need, making it a practical choice for seniors and families looking for community and care under one roof.
Excellent rehab with staffing issues
I brought my loved one here and saw exceptional rehab and real recovery - friendly, caring staff, warm and clean facility, comfortable beds, good food, no bad smells, and marked improvements in mobility and alertness. It's close and good value with solid services, but be aware of staffing inconsistencies, some poor nursing behavior, and barriers to Medicaid admission.
