    About Laurel Hill Nursing Center

Laurel Hill Nursing Center sits in a setting with blooming pink and white flowers and a Japanese maple tree, with a garden courtyard full of pink roses, so residents have somewhere peaceful to relax outside, and inside you'll find private and semi-private rooms with their own bathrooms, furnished for comfort, and many rooms offer things like cable TV, telephones, and internet access if that's something folks want. This facility has 44 beds and takes care of people who need both short-term recovery and long-term nursing, with round-the-clock skilled nursing care from experienced caregivers, including certified nursing assistants, therapists, nurses, and other staff, all working under doctor direction. Laurel Hill provides specialized therapy, such as physical, speech, and occupational therapy, using modern equipment, and it's got programs for folks needing help after surgery, after illness or injury, or with ongoing conditions like lung disease, diabetes, heart trouble, stroke recovery, complex wounds, or needing palliative care and pain management, and they use CPAP/BIPAP machines and manage IVs and oxygen when it's necessary. Residents get personalized care plans made with help from families, staff, and doctors, so care is matched to their needs, and there's medication management, nutrition planning, and help with daily living activities like bathing and dressing, all aimed at helping each person keep their independence as much as possible. The place runs under non-profit status and is part of the Oregon Health Care Association, staying up to date with standards, having accreditations, and offering compassionate care for everyone, including those who need memory care. Folks can take part in social outings, pet therapy, games in the game room, or read in the on-site library, and there's an activities director making sure people have ways to stay engaged, with all kinds of events and beauty salon services. The grounds are nicely kept, and inside, the lounge and social gathering spaces give folks a chance to socialize or spend time quietly as they please, all backed by laundry, housekeeping, and daily dining with fresh ingredients. Respite care is available for short-term stays to give caregivers some relief, and admissions run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, which can help during an emergency. The facility is close to medical services when extra help is needed. The overall goal at Laurel Hill is to provide a safe, clean, and friendly environment where each resident can recover or live with as much comfort and independence possible.
