    Great lifestyle; poor construction, management

    I moved here from Missouri and I mostly love the beautiful, well-landscaped ranch community - warm weather, friendly neighbors, easy to make friends, great golf and an active 50+ scene. The clubhouse, draft beer and many of the restaurant staff are outstanding. That said, the homes felt cheaply built for the price: poor finishes, frequent warranty repairs that are slow, flawed or done by unskilled crews, and management/customer service is often unresponsive. Dining is hit-or-miss - excellent at times but limited menu/hours and restaurant management needs improvement. Amenities exist but access can be restricted (pickleball sessions, reserved courts) and the community is remote from Tucson. Lovely place to retire if you value the lifestyle, but do heavy research on construction quality, HOA/management and resale before buying.

There are clubs for almost every interest, whether you want to join the cycling club, genealogy club, hiking, RV, or wine club, and you'll find activities from bridge and bingo to clog dancing and singing groups, so anyone can keep up with what matters to them or discover something new. The activities director and community amenities like the heated lap pool, indoor pool, and sports and aquatics complex help people stay busy, and there's always something on the calendar for those who want it, but people also have space for quiet on their own.
