    Caring staff provide homelike care

My mother stayed 11 months and I felt she was truly at home. The staff-especially Elsa and June-and the owner were caring, respectful and attentive, with excellent communication; the clean, family-like home provided loving care, daily activities (games, conversation and tea time) and church service. I highly recommend this place.

    About Comfort Assisted Living Home

Comfort Assisted Living Home is a single-story senior living community found at 9003 W Charleston Ave, Peoria, AZ 85382, and you'll find it feels a bit more like a small, caring neighborhood than what people picture when they think of big senior centers, because this place keeps things on a more personal scale, making it easier for the staff-many of whom speak English-to really get to know the residents and what they need, and that kind of familiar routine can really help folks feel cared for, especially when there's day and night supervision and a team that's been trained in everything from using medical equipment the right way to supporting people through dementia and memory care challenges; actually, some caregivers here get their training straight from the Arizona Alzheimer Association, which means they know the best ways to help residents keep their independence when they can and get the support they need when they can't.

Comfort Assisted Living Home offers private and semi-private rooms, each furnished, and the building itself stays wheelchair accessible throughout, which is important for everyone getting around safely, plus there are walking paths and a quiet garden spot where residents can clear their heads, listen to birds, or just enjoy a little sun, and any time folks need to go somewhere outside-like doctor's offices or group outings-the staff arranges transportation without fuss. Meals are home-cooked here, scheduled or served all day depending on what suits someone best, and the menu considers everything from allergies to diabetes to personal taste, which can matter so much when it's hard to keep up an appetite, and there's help for anyone needing special diets. Other day-to-day things get taken care of, too-housekeeping, laundry, and help with moving in-and you'll find an emergency alert system in place as well, which helps keep both residents and their families a little more at ease.

Community activities happen regularly, including movie nights, group programs, and therapy sessions to keep people both physically and socially active; and folks can get involved as much as they like, but there's also the freedom to take it slow and enjoy quiet time since the environment aims to be serene and respectful of each person's pace and privacy. Residents can depend on help with bathing, dressing, grooming, taking medicine, and moving around, plus they'll see doctors and nurses during regular in-house visits, and the team coordinates with healthcare providers for each person's changing needs, so whether it's for daily care or for a time when someone requires hospice, respite, or physical therapy support, those services come straight to their door and each case gets looked at individually with a focus on maintaining comfort and dignity.

The starting price for care services is $3,200 per month, which includes most of the day-to-day support and amenities, and the facility keeps a caregiver-to-senior ratio that sticks to Arizona's licensing requirements (Comfort Assisted Living Home holds license number AL9193H), which helps the staff keep up with every resident's unique needs. Veterans who need help with benefits applications can get assistance here, and families are welcomed to stay involved in their loved one's life and care. The home currently holds a 3.8 community score, based on ratings gathered through Seniorly's own system, and while no place is perfect, this community does seem to uphold a commitment to cleanliness, kindness, and meeting the health or personal needs of its residents as best they can, with a focus on what's practical and familiar rather than anything fancy or grand.
