Prince of Peace Assisting Living sits in Peoria, AZ, and keeps things small, comfortable, and home-like, with room for up to 9 residents in a private house where people get to know each other and the staff pretty well, since they try to treat everyone like family and make sure people feel relaxed and at home. The facility has a license from the state, active under number AL10774H through May 2025, and is known as an assisted living home-directed place, so it offers long-term, non-acute care with a focus on making life easier for seniors and their families. The starting price is $3,000 a month, and payment comes as either private pay or ALTCS through Mercy Care or United Healthcare. The staff, including a caregiver named Estera who's mentioned for giving thoughtful, loving care, stays on site, and looks after residents day and night, keeping the ratio in line with state rules and making sure everyone gets daily help like cleaning, laundry, meals, personal care, and maybe activities or small group meals when possible. The setting is calm and friendly, and the house is set up for comfort with a cozy style that tries to bring residents a sense of peace. Families can ask about openings or jobs during weekdays, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and visitors can come by daily between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., though weekends are closed for office hours. The goal for everyone working here is to take care of residents kindly and respectfully, and to make seniors and their families feel listened to and at ease in a quiet, comfortable place.

Good start, later unacceptable decline
I moved in and at first the manager, top RN and skilled team were ideal - thoughtful, respectful, genuinely loving caregivers who kept me well fed, hydrated and comfortable and helped with the transition. Over time things deteriorated: high staff turnover left unqualified, often unfriendly aides, meals were borderline healthy with unsanitary prep/cleanup, there were no activities and the furnishings were old and stained. I eventually moved out and cannot recommend this place.
