    About Cascades of Tucson

Cascades of Tucson is a family-owned senior living community with independent living, assisted living, memory care, and respite care services, so there's a range for many needs all in one place, and the owner stays involved and available. The community has studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, many with smart home features, attached baths, patios or balconies, and kitchens with stainless-steel appliances, ceramic tile floors, and quartz counters, plus little details like window coverings and ceiling fans that help make it comfortable. People can bring pets, and there's space for them to enjoy too. The mid-rise building has a Vista Garden Restaurant with all-day dining, where staff serve meals made by a chef, including vegan, low sodium, and other special diets; residents can eat in the restaurant or their own room, and there's a fresh salad bar and evening snacks.

There are several ways to get around: residents can use complimentary transportation for things like shopping and going to appointments, and there's parking if people drive. Common areas include indoor and outdoor lounges, outdoor courtyards, walking paths, libraries, a gym, a heated swimming pool, a hot tub, an arts and crafts room, a game room, a movie theater, and gardens. There's an active calendar full of activities such as yoga, Tai Chi, stretching classes, water aerobics, art, lectures, devotional services, volunteer groups, and outings. The community tries to keep people connected, physically active, and social through small group programs, outings, and fitness classes. There's WiFi all over, a computer room, and a reception desk ready to help.

Housekeeping, linen changes, apartment maintenance, and grounds upkeep are included, along with utilities-except phone and cable. Safety measures include grab bars, smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, and emergency call systems in bedrooms and baths, so help is always close. Two registered nurses and two licensed practical nurses, plus 24-hour awake staff, handle everything from light support with daily tasks like bathing and dressing to medication management, including insulin and diabetic care. They can help people with transfers using all types of assistance, and there are visiting specialists like dentists, podiatrists, and therapy services right on-site.

For those who need more care, assisted living staff support residents with everything from grooming reminders to medication, and they adjust services as people's needs change, letting people stay even when health or memory issues develop. The community supports "aging in place," so residents don't have to leave if their health shifts. They also take care of people with memory loss, Alzheimer's, or dementia, with a purpose-built, secured area called The Courtyard at Cascades Memory Care Neighborhood designed for safety, calm, and comfort, using alarms and bracelets to help prevent residents from wandering, and taking residents with more serious behavior or wandering risks. Compassionate staff help with emotional needs too, focusing on dignity and giving everyone a sense of belonging.

Cascades offers spiritual services both on-site and off-site, with communal and individual programs for different faith backgrounds. There's a full-service salon, and both respite stays and hospice services are available, so families can rely on care for short-term or advanced needs. Residents have access to social, cultural, educational, or faith-based gatherings and support in staying as independent as possible. The community holds a good reputation, with a deficiency-free state survey record, and strives to maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging place for seniors at various stages of life.
