    Well-managed, stunning grounds, attentive staff

I visited this senior living community and was impressed. The grounds are stunning-beautiful gardens, water features and well-maintained common areas; rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff are pleasant and responsive. I feel it's well managed and I highly recommend it.

    About Crossroads Adult Care Home

Crossroads Adult Care Home sits at 5242 N Genematas Dr in Tucson, Arizona, and feels like a small residential neighborhood more than a big facility, with three separate homes that share a lush garden setting, green grounds full of trees and flowers, walkways, and spots for sitting or walking in the sun or shade, while the sound of water runs throughout the property, making it feel calm and close to nature. The community keeps things feeling comfortable and home-like, with both private and semi-private rooms-residents can bring their own things or use furnishings the staff provides-so it doesn't feel cold or like a hospital, and rooms have features like wheelchair accessible showers to help folks who need them. Some pets are allowed for those who want to bring them along. The homes have indoor and outdoor common areas, spots for family visits, and a schedule full of activities and events to help residents make friends, enjoy hobbies, and get together for meals or gatherings, and there's always the option for residents to spend quiet time in the garden.

Crossroads provides several levels of care for adults aged 55 and up, such as assisted living, memory care for people living with Alzheimer's or dementia-including a special locked memory care section with technology to help keep people safe-board and care, and short-term respite care for folks who need a place for a little while. The staff offers 24/7 support, with trained caregivers, awake and alert at all hours, and they help with medication management, personal care tasks like bathing or using the restroom, dressing, grooming, movement, and mealtimes, plus special services for those with diabetes, incontinence, or mobility needs, and nurses can handle things like insulin administration and wound care when needed. The care team designs personalized care plans for everyone, reviews them often, and adjusts things so people get the support they need, with a focus on emotional and mental well-being, as well as physical health, and there's help for residents facing behavioral challenges too. Crossroads can assist those who need help transferring, including mechanical lifts, and the homes meet the state's safety and staffing standards, with security features like alarms and bracelets to help stop wandering for memory care residents.

Meals at Crossroads are cooked fresh each day, tailored to dietary needs and preferences, and there are nutritious options at every sitting, with staff helping residents who need more help at the table. Laundry and housekeeping come with each stay, and there are transportation services and parking available, though some rides have an extra cost, plus the property's near Tucson bus lines for those who want to get out. Residents and families find support when facing big changes, whether short stays are needed or a move to more care, and Crossroads is set up to let people stay in place as health needs change, offering rehabilitation, long-term care, and hospice services alongside regular support for daily living. English and Spanish speakers are welcome, and a no-smoking policy covers all indoor spaces. This community tries hard to make sure seniors feel respected, cared for, and like part of a family, with nature, comfort, and safety at the heart of daily life.
