    Caring staff, clean home, recommended

I placed my mom at Select Senior Care and I'm very grateful - Daniel and Carmen and their caring, responsive staff treated her like family, kept the home immaculately clean, served delicious homemade European-American meals, and provided big private rooms, friendly therapy dogs, a lovely patio/garden and outings. Staff handled meds and daily needs professionally, visits were welcome anytime, and my mom felt safe and content. Minor caveats: activities were somewhat limited and bathroom facilities felt tight for six residents, but overall I highly recommend this warm, family-run home.

    About Select Senior Care

Select Senior Care in Anaheim, CA offers seniors a peaceful place with a family-like feeling, where residents get plenty of privacy and a focus on safety, and there's a big effort to make every care plan fit each person's needs, whether someone needs independent living, memory care, assisted living, or nursing home care, so you'll see rooms that are private or semi-private, some with private bathrooms and showers, and you'll find single rooms, studios, and two-bedroom options. The building is one story, which means it's easy to get around, and it's set up with safety in mind - things like open, circular hallways help reduce confusion for folks with Alzheimer's or other memory issues, there are secured patios, sun porches, and community spaces like game rooms, dining areas, and furnished patios where people can gather or take it easy.

The staff is always there, day and night, ready to help with bathing, dressing, medication, eating, and moving around, and if you need help for things like wound care, nursing needs, occupational therapy, or even long-term care, that's provided too, and everyone gets three hot meals a day, snacks between meals, and there's always someone making sure your laundry, housekeeping, and linens are taken care of, so you don't have to worry about chores. For folks who enjoy keeping their minds and bodies busy, the activities schedule covers oldies music exercise sessions, movie nights with popcorn, arts and crafts, walking outside, pet therapy, and brain-stimulating programs for those with dementia, plus, there are religious and educational programs, and the staff encourages everyone to join in the social and wellness activities meant to bring people together and keep spirits up.

Residents gather for meals at a big table, but if anybody needs to eat in their room, the staff will make sure meals are brought over, and folks can choose from vegetarian meals if that's needed, and there's support with insurance and payment options, with everything explained clearly in the policies on contracts and billing. There's guest parking, WiFi, cable TV with lots of channels, Netflix, and outdoor common areas, so visitors can stop by easily, and everyone has spaces to relax or spend time with friends. For those with memory problems or other special needs, Select Senior Care has dedicated plans and rooms designed to keep residents safe, comfortable, and active, and the staff have the right training and compassion to give the care people need.

The facility supports seniors who want to stay as independent as possible and will even help with home modifications and use home technology to make living safer and easier, and there's also respite care if families need a break or someone's coming in for short-term help. Pets come around for therapy, there's a beautician on-site, devotional services, and plenty of cozy spaces to sit with friends or even just watch a movie or enjoy music. Select Senior Care has over 10 years of experience and tries to make sure that everyone feels valued, cared for, and at home, offering clear move-in steps, tours both in-person and online, and a straightforward path for new residents who want to come by for a look.
