    Spacious clean home, caring staff

I chose this home and I'm very happy - staff are kind, attentive 24/7, knowledgeable and often go beyond to treat residents like family (Danny was especially outgoing). The facility is spacious, spotless and well-managed: clean, odor-free rooms you can decorate, a terrific patio and dining area, two friendly house dogs, ample parking in a lovely, accessible neighborhood. It's affordable and offers specialized care, though it's an older building (bathroom updates needed) and I've noticed staffing turnover and occasional unmet promises. Overall I highly recommend it.

About A M Residential Care Home

A M Residential Care Home sits in a quiet Burlingame, California neighborhood, providing care for up to six residents in a cozy, well-maintained house where the staff really does keep things comfortable and safe and is always around if you need some help getting by. They handle several levels of support, including assisted living, memory care in a special, secure area set up just for that, and regular board and care for folks who need extra help with their daily routine. They've got skilled nurses and a team trained to help with everything from bathing, dressing, getting around with wheelchairs, using mechanical lifts for transferring out of bed, and giving medication on time, even if someone needs insulin shots, though they can't do complicated sliding scale therapy, but they still monitor blood sugar carefully, taking care of heart-healthy, low-fat, and low-sugar diets for meals.

You'll find the place has a dining room, small library, garden, and outdoor space so folks can move around or sit and enjoy the sun. Staff members like nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and even podiatrists visit the home, so most medical needs get looked after, and everyone gets regular housekeeping, laundry, and help with medication, with daily activities and programs planned to keep your mind, body, and social life active. For those with dementia or Alzheimer's, the secure memory care wing comes with alarms and bracelets to protect against wandering, and the staff is trained to handle high-needs cases, including residents with behavior issues who need special attention and support around the clock.

There's also respite care for families needing a break, and hospice care is available for folks who need end-of-life comfort, with flexibility in stays from a single day to three full months if that's what's needed. The home supplies three solid meals and snacks each day, with kosher and vegetarian choices if someone prefers, and they'll help arrange trips to the doctor, dentist, or barber, using their own transportation if needed, with some parking close by for family visits. Families are welcome to take part in their loved one's care, and everyone's encouraged to keep as much independence as possible, making their own choices about their routines and activities. A M Residential Care Home doesn't accept Medicare unless it's certified, but it does have nursing care, long-term stays, and short-term relief for caregivers, all with a good-natured staff focused on daily well-being.

There's only one photo of the place, and the community itself is smaller, with both 6-bed and 12-bed houses tucked into peaceful blocks, each room set up for comfort and easy accessibility, even for people with serious mobility limits. Residents sometimes gather for community-sponsored events, enjoy devotional services off site for spiritual needs, and get help with incontinence or minor illnesses right at their bedside. The home can care for folks with mild cognitive trouble too, and the aim's always to keep things simple, friendly, and safe, so whether someone needs light help or full-time memory care, the staff stays ready and attentive, hoping to give both residents and their families some peace of mind.
