    Compassionate 24/7 care in home

I am so grateful for Carmel Care Home. The owners and staff were knowledgeable, kind and responsive, providing 24/7, respectful care in a spotless, homey house with a lovely patio/garden and tasty meals; they kept us informed, even supporting us through hospice in Mom's final days. They truly went above and beyond - I felt relieved and would highly recommend this small, compassionate home.

    About Carmel Care Home

Carmel Care Home sits at 11971 4th Ave in Hesperia, California, and serves up to 6 residents in a single-story home that's wheelchair and walker accessible, and you'll find each resident gets their own private bedroom with cable TV, so folks have privacy along with space for their things. The place has 2 bathrooms, a comfortable living room, a spacious receiving room for visits, and an elegant dining area where three well-balanced meals are served each day, plus snacks in between, and anybody needing special diets gets what they require without fuss. The kitchen's fully furnished for meal prep, and everything's kept tidy with daily room cleaning, sanitation, and laundry, as well as fresh linens when needed, and folks get laundry help too.

Residents can bring some pets, so you might hear the sound of a dog or cat now and then, and the back yard is roomy and has a covered patio, which folks use for outdoor activities or when families come by. There's a garden and walking paths outside, so people can enjoy sunshine and maybe go for a stroll or take part in outdoor activities, and the home arranges trips to the park, joyrides, and other events. Each day brings planned activities, movie nights, and chances for social interaction and gentle exercise; staff try to keep spirits up and encourage everyone to stay active and connected.

The home is licensed as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly with California license #361800233 and has a focus on serving elderly people, whether they need minimum help or total care including incontinence management, and even hospice or Alzheimer's and dementia care. Before moving in, staff do an assessment to see what level of care someone needs, whether it's Level 1 (minimum assistance), Level 2 (total care including incontinence), or Level 3 (total care with hospice). Residents get help with all the daily basics, like bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, moving around, and transferring from bed to chair, along with bedside help; there's support for ambulating and mobility if walking's hard. Medication management is watched closely, including supervised delivery, and skilled staff work around the clock to keep track of physical and mental health, coordinate with healthcare providers, handle emergencies, and keep the place running smoothly.

The building has a modern heating and air system with electronic filtration and air scrubbers, which helps keep the air clean, and that's a comfort in a place where folks sometimes have trouble with breathing or allergies, and it keeps things comfortable year-round in the high desert. The residential style means things feel homey rather than institutional, with the emphasis on dignity, comfort, independence, and well-being. Carmel Care Home takes a person-centered approach, adjusting care to fit individual needs, and keeps up high standards for safety, cleanliness, and respectful living. The home is privately owned and operated, and staff aim to provide reliable care so residents enjoy life as much as they can in a secure, supportive setting.
