    Caring staff, some management issues

    I've had my mother at Casa Mia for five years. The owners are hardworking, involved and caring, and the staff (Donna especially) are friendly, attentive and go above and beyond - the home is clean, well-kept, home-like, and they kept our family updated. My concerns: management isn't always onsite, staffing can be thin (sometimes only one person), lighting is dim in places, my mom was initially placed in a shared room despite a private room being suggested, and we faced a price increase with less than two months' notice. Overall I highly recommend Casa Mia for hands-on, caring leadership, but ask about staffing, security, room assignments, and fees up front.
