Casa Pacifica sits on the coast in Moss Beach and has 101 one-bedroom units spread across a 60,600 square foot multifamily apartment complex built in 1977, and folks living here have apartment features like kitchens or kitchenettes, washers and dryers, cable TV, housekeeping, guest parking, elevators, and accessible units for people who need them, so you'll also see fire alarms, smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, and plenty of safety and handicap features throughout the building, which is non-smoking and serves as a Section 8 (202) community, and that means rent is usually about 30% of a resident's adjusted income, giving very low-income seniors more affordable living options. The community has different levels of care, so there are assisted living, independent living, and memory care options, and folks can get personal care from assistants, walking or wheelchair help, incontinence care, non-ambulatory care, and diabetic support, and health and wellness programs, social activities, arts and crafts, education programs, along with dining services and transportation, so everything stays pretty well-rounded. Casa Pacifica really focuses on residents with memory-related needs, including people living with dementia or Alzheimer's, and there are individualized care plans along with specialized programming just for memory care, and there's also skilled day programs and adult day health care for older adults or adults over 18 with physical or mental impairments, plus mental health care, trauma-informed programming, and actual staff trained in adolescent mental health, which is pretty unique for a senior community, because they also serve children and adolescents with behavioral health needs, supporting youth and families with mental health challenges. Facilities on the property include a fitness center, common areas, activities and game rooms, WiFi, a salon and barbershop, housekeeping, maintenance, on-site mail delivery, and the grounds are meant to support people's emotional and psychological well-being, with dedicated therapeutic amenities and comprehensive mental health treatment, so people can feel safe and supported. Regulated by both the California Department of Aging and the California Department of Health Care Services, this community tries to make daily life easier and help residents keep their independence, tailoring support to each person's needs, and with detailed records about amenities, history, management, and more available through Yardi Matrix reports, you can look up about thirty different types of information if that interests you.

Cold reception, staff made it
I had an awful first impression-cold, unwelcoming reception and leasing office-but the staff quickly warmed up and were incredibly helpful. The application and move-in were smooth, and the spacious, serene apartments in a beautiful location made it well worth the wait.
