Roza Care sits on a quiet street at 1538 Seville Street in Placentia, CA, where just six seniors can live in a small, home-like environment, and it's got caregivers around all day and night to help with daily needs like bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication reminders, and folks who need help with insulin injections or two-person transfers might find that here, provided the staff available supports that, and meals come homemade three times a day, with diets adjusted for diabetes or high blood pressure when needed, and the kitchen uses decent ingredients for nutritious food made fresh, and the staff will help with incontinence and hygiene too. Residents who want to stay active will find reading rooms, game areas, and outdoor spaces, with workout plans, art and music programs, and movie nights planned regularly, and the place takes pride in setting up birthday parties, social nights, group outings, and animal therapy now and again. The memory care unit has specific safety measures for people with dementia or Alzheimer's, and staff adjust activities to support memory and prevent wandering, and they create activities meant to keep minds working and help lessen confusion. Roza Care's transportation service can drive residents to the doctor, grocery store, faith-based services, or shopping centers, and families are welcome to come by and even share mealtimes if they want, and seniors can relax knowing there's a secure setting, plus support with case management for those who want to keep some independence but need help here and there. There's a visiting hairdresser or stylist service available, and for folks who enjoy the sauna or a soak in the jacuzzi, there may be options depending on what's set up at the time, because the facility sometimes changes amenities to fit residents' interests. The staff works to build a routine and social life suited to each person, and recreation and wellness plans, including things like music therapy, board games, and trips outside, are put together so life stays interesting for everyone. Roza Care holds both assisted living and memory care licenses, so as care needs grow, residents might stay in the same place and receive a higher level of help, and it's set up to provide hospice support as needed. With only six beds, residents get attention tailored to their health, safety, and independence, and the staff aims for an honest, steady approach to care, focused on improving the quality of life without making big promises that can't be kept. Being near restaurants, parks, and medical centers means that getting out is easy, and with parking and transportation options, families and friends can visit without trouble. Roza Care works quietly to meet seniors where they are, providing safety, structure, and comfort without unnecessary fuss.
Clean, caring staff, poor oversight
I appreciated the clean, homey facility, friendly caregivers who treated residents like family, good staff-to-resident ratio, and my loved one had a private room with TV, recliner, and enjoyable meals. However, there were almost no activities or socialization, and my grandmother's health deteriorated (pressure ulcer, UTI, dehydration/sepsis concerns), so we removed her due to poor oversight. Kind staff, but I cannot recommend it.
