    Uneven staffing and declining care

    I found this facility just okay. Staffing was uneven and the quality of care slipped - one worker, Kesha, was unhelpful when I needed assistance. I would not recommend it for my loved ones and I worry about the other residents.

    Asher Estate is a licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) set in a quiet, safe neighborhood, where you'll find five spacious bedrooms, including private suites and shared rooms, all with air conditioning and wheelchair accessibility in the bedrooms and bathrooms, plus two bathrooms with roll-in showers. The home stays comfortable with a wood-burning fireplace and elegant living spaces that feature fully furnished rooms, kitchenettes, and private bathrooms. Residents get meals and snacks made fresh each day from organic ingredients, carefully prepared in a fully equipped kitchen with premium finishes like granite countertops, and served in a pleasant dining room overlooking a landscaped backyard through sliding glass doors. There's a covered patio, a secured pool area for residents and family, and a walking trail in the backyard.

    Every bedroom has Wi-Fi, cable, phone lines, and LED 4K TVs, with city lights and mountain peak views for a peaceful outlook. Asher Estate also provides senior-friendly computers set up for FaceTime and other social activities to help residents stay connected with family, and the staff takes care of meal preparation, housekeeping, and linen service. The trained staff to resident ratio is 3:1, offering 24-hour supervision, call systems, help with daily living tasks (personal care), medication management, and transportation for doctor's appointments. Safety is addressed with a state-of-the-art smoke-detection alarm system, and the facility is built with fire protection in mind.

    Group activities like senior yoga, planting, music therapy, arts and crafts, animal therapy, and exercises take place often, plus physical therapy when needed, so everyone finds something to enjoy.
