    Compassionate staff but understaffed facility

I have mixed feelings. My mother is treated by many kind, helpful staff, gets good physical therapy, engaging activities, and enjoys the outdoor area and meals - but care is inconsistent and understaffed: nurses often unavailable, poor communication, delayed meds/IVs, and at one point she was over-sedated. The building is dated and needs new paint/carpet, maintenance is slow (four-week work orders, torn carpet), and the dining area gets unbearably hot. Overall, compassionate people but the facility needs better staffing, safer care practices, and facility updates before I could fully recommend it.

    About Heritage Court

Heritage Court gives seniors a place to live that covers many needs all in one community, so what you'll find here is independent living, assisted living, nursing and rehab, memory care, skilled nursing, as well as adult day and home care, and hospice care too, so folks really can age in place if that's what works for them, and some buildings have board and care homes in regular neighborhoods for smaller groups; rooms and suites come in semi-private and one-bedroom layouts, and there are specialized areas for those who need memory care or nursing, with safety and memory support built in for those with dementia or Alzheimer's, who get their own programs, therapies, and lots of help day and night. Heritage Court is known for tailored care programs and structured schedules, making sure people get help with things like bathing, dressing, meals, personal care, and managing their medicines, and nurses are available for 12-16 hours with a 24-hour call system, plus there's wound care, rehabilitation, and medical services on site if you need them along the way. The staff provides different levels of care, from help with simple daily routines to skilled nursing and continuing care that changes as needs change, and families often find reassurance knowing their loved ones can stay through many stages of aging without needing to move to another place.

Community life tries to stay active and friendly, with spacious community spaces, lounges, a game room, fitness and wellness rooms, and activity programs that help people meet, share hobbies, and enjoy entertainment-there are walking paths in the gardens, a library, music programs, movie nights, and organized trips too, so boredom isn't usually a problem, and if someone can't drive, the staff helps organize rides or offers rides with community transportation. Comfort plays a big part, so there are barber and beauty salon services, good meals are served every day, residents can have their own private or semi-private suites, and everything's made to be accessible and easy to get around for anyone with mobility needs. Heritage Court also connects with other care facilities like Serento Casa, Serento Rosa, West Haven Healthcare Center, Rowland Nursing Home, Royal Crest Health Care, Covina Rehabilitation Center, and Beacon Healthcare Center, so whether someone needs short-term rehab or long-term nursing, there's always somewhere to get more care without feeling lost in the shuffle. Heritage Court's main goal is to offer compassionate support, keep people as independent as possible, and provide a steady environment no matter what changes come as someone ages.
