    Warm, well-maintained, pricey, safety concerns

I moved my loved one in and overall I was impressed: staff are overwhelmingly friendly and caring, the facility and grounds are beautiful and clean, apartments are comfortable, activities are plentiful, and on-campus therapy and rehab are effective. The move-in process was smooth thanks to a helpful transition coordinator, but independent living has a long wait (6-12 months) and a $350 waitlist fee; pricing is high and Medicare isn't accepted. Food and menus are hit-or-miss (some meals excellent, others limited or puréed for safety). That said, I also saw serious negatives reported-poor communication, delayed nursing responses, and a few concerning cases of neglect-so you should monitor care closely. In short: warm, well-maintained community with great staff, but be aware of cost, wait times, and occasional safety/communication problems.

    About Inland Christian Home, Inc.

Inland Christian Home, Inc. is a non-profit senior living community that has served elders with different needs by providing independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, adult day care, and in-home care all on one campus, and the place has a purpose-driven mission where revenue goes back into supporting residents and keeping things running for families who want options for their loved ones as needs change, so people at Inland Christian Home can move between care levels without having to leave familiar faces or surroundings. The faith-based organization welcomes everyone and tries to respect each resident as an individual, making choices about daily life and care with input from the resident and family while offering things like personalized care plans, staff who have training in memory care, and services that cover different health and social needs. The property has different floor plans and types of living, like independent cottages with kitchens, apartments with underground parking, assisted living suites with private patios, and semi-private and private rooms in the nursing area, as well as specialized Inland Haven Memory Care in a dedicated and secure building for those living with Alzheimer's or other kinds of memory loss, where technology like alarm bracelets and secured grounds help keep residents safe while staff trained to deal with behaviors and wandering are always present. Staff stay awake and on duty 24 hours a day for supervision and medical support, while licensed nurses and a doctor on call can provide skilled care, medication help, wound dressing, diabetes monitoring, and assistance with bathing, dressing, walking, toileting, and more. There's regular occupational, physical, and speech therapy, plus visits from podiatrists, optometrists, and dentists, and special programs for health and wellness along with behavioral care for folks who need a little extra support, and caregivers know how to help those with heavy care needs like mechanical lifts or regular reminders. Amenities at Inland Christian Home include house and laundry service, a salon and barbershop, games and activity rooms, a library, fitness center, dining room, enclosed courtyards, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and parking-with several beautiful indoor and outdoor common areas as well as walking paths for everyone to enjoy. Residents can join group activities like arts and crafts, cooking classes, gardening, yoga, educational talks, religious services, organized trips, and social gatherings, and there's help available with transportation, either as a complimentary ride or at cost, plus guest parking for visitors. In the assisted living area, a full-time Activities Director plans off-campus outings and regular in-house events, and each suite has individually controlled air and a kitchenette, with meals-three a day-with options for low salt, low sugar, or special alternative diets, snacks, and even room service, all prepared to be both tasty and healthy. There's an emergency call system in every room, and community staff check on everyone with wireless pendants and pull cords. The month-to-month rental system allows residents to stay flexible, and care needs are checked monthly under a five-level care model, so support matches changing requirements and costs stay clear. Pet owners can bring cats or dogs, and folks who want some independence can choose apartments or cottages with full kitchens, bathrooms with walk-in showers or full tubs, central heat and air, washers and dryers, and emergency alerts, and the community tries to make things as easy as possible by providing grocery help, housekeeping, laundry, and television service. The place offers devotional services on site and out in the community for those who want to keep up their spiritual life, and there's a warm atmosphere created by staff who have a reputation for being caring, invested, and present for both short-term rehab and long-term care. Inland Christian Home takes long-term care insurance, provides aging-in-place options so residents don't have to move if needs go up, and offers respite and hospice care when necessary. The property aims to keep every resident safe, dignified, and as active as they want to be, whatever assistance is needed, so there are always programs, services, and friendly faces, whether someone is seeking independent living, needs daily support, requires memory care, or wants skilled nursing for more complex medical needs.
