    About Nevada Hand

Nevada Hand is a nonprofit organization in Las Vegas that's been building, managing, and caring for affordable rental homes since 1993, serving low-income seniors, families, and working adults across 36 apartment communities with more than 8,200 residents in the Las Vegas Valley. The communities are well-maintained, with apartment homes built to help people feel like they belong and can take pride in where they live, and there are special programs to help folks build financial stability, improve health, stay engaged, and connect with neighbors. There's a Resident Services department with professional coordinators in every community who help residents with on-site programs and tie them to assistance programs for things like health, education, and everyday needs, and families and seniors get support matched to their needs, with some residents getting help from live-in caregivers in shared homes or home care aides for companionship and non-medical care. Seniors looking for comfort and added support can choose from different housing styles: independent living for those who want a social life with very little hassle, affordable assisted living at Silver Sky or Silver Sky at Deer Springs with 24/7 care, or memory care services in places built to reduce confusion and wandering for people with dementia, plus there's support with basic daily activities, medication, and even chef-prepared healthy meals. Nevada Hand has a big fleet of free shuttles to help seniors get to grocery stores, doctor visits, pharmacies, and other important places, and it's worthwhile that they have these volunteer and donation programs so folks can help out or get help, with information and updates available through their newsletter or the HAND Collaborative group. HAND Property Management looks after daily things like screening and leasing, while HAND Construction Company works on building and fixing up the properties, and there's a strong focus on affordable rent, keeping housing below market rates for those who need it. The organization gets recognized for the kindness and helpfulness of its staff and for running activities that help seniors and families stay social, active, and connected. Veterans may get help through VA Aid and Attendance benefits for care, and there are different ways families, seniors, or volunteers can get involved. Each community is built near local cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, and a hospital, with handy transportation options and airports close by, making it easier for residents to get out and about or get help quickly if something comes up. Nevada Hand keeps working on community growth, investing in new projects and continuing a mission to offer more than just affordable homes-they want to help people live better, be more stable, and feel proud of where they are.
